Measurements

In order to make the most efficient use of your time, we advise you to know your measurments when coming in for a costume fitting.

Below you will find a diagram with instructions on how to take the proper measurements for our costume fittings.

We recommend that you download our measurement sheets, fill them out, and bring them to your fitting. You can download our measurement form here.

  • Height: With weight evenly distributed and in stocking feet, measure from the top of the head to the bottom of the heel.

  • Head: Measure the circumference of the head at brow level, over the hair and with the tape parallel to the floor.

  • Neck: Measure the circumference of the neck at the fullest part of the base. Allow for some ease for comfort.

  • Shoulder to Shoulder: With arms relaxed at sides, measure across the back from shoulder to shoulder.

  • Bust /Chest: With tape parallel to the floor, measure to fullest part of the expanded bust/chest.

  • Waist: Place your fingers at the compression points on both sides of the natural waistline. Position the tape at these points, parallel to the floor and measure the circumference of the waistline.

  • Hips : Measure the circumference of the fullest part of the hipline.
Female: Measure hips 9" down from waist.
Male: Measure hips 5" down from waist.

  • Outsleeve: Take this measurement with the arm bent at the elbow and positioned in front of the chest parallel to the floor. Measure from the top of the spine at the center of the back, over and around the elbow to the bottom of the wrist bone.

  • Inseam (Male): Place the tape measure at the top inside point of the leg at crotch. Measure to the top of foot over instep.

  • Waist to Ankle (Female): Measure from the natural waistline to the ankle bone along the outside of the leg. Weight must be evenly distributed.
