SCENIC PAINTING

Our years of working with multiple theaters and designers have given us the ability to render both three dimensional and flat surfaces into successful theatrical representations.

From realistic renditions of wood and marble to artful interpretations of architecture and skies, we use a wide range of painting techniques to help realize your design.

BACKDROPS

We have extensive experience painting a variety of drop styles including muslin, scrims, and black canvas. Our paint deck can accommodate up to 135 ft. by 60 ft.

We have experience painting murals directly on site as well as creating custom, hand-painted wallcoverings that can then be applied to the wall surface.

FAUX

From Venetian Plaster to burled oak we can realize multiple finishes of varied surfaces.

Whether walls or furniture pieces we can create the look you want.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

At A to Z Theatrical we also enjoy sharing our knowledge.

We offer workshops throughout the year in such varied fields as scenic painting, scenic sculpting, costume crafts, and mask making.

Workshops are available in house and on location.

SCENIC PAINTING SUPPLIES

If you are a scenic artist yourself, A to Z Theatrical has all the supplies you need.

In addition to scenic painting services, we also carry professional scenic paints, primers, coatings, brushes, sprayers, painters tape (even ¼ inch!), and miscellaneous scenic painting supplies IN STOCK every day.

We also keep an inventory of theatrical muslin, sharkstooth scrim, cotton scrim, and a number of other soft goods available in our Soft Goods department.
